Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Mackros account and the personal data associated with it at any time. We don’t sell your data or show third-party ads, and deletion is free.

Delete it in the app

Open Mackros and go to Settings → Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm and your account is deleted right away. If you signed in with Apple, you’ll confirm with Apple once more so we can also remove Mackros from your Apple ID.

No longer have the app?

Email us at support@mackros.app from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account.” We verify the request comes from the account owner, then delete the account within 30 days. If you signed in with Apple or Google, include that email so we can match your account.

What we delete

Deleting your account is permanent. It removes your profile and the personal data tied to it:

Account details (name, email, sign-in)
Your nutrition and goal profile (height, weight and weigh-ins, age, sex, targets)
Meals you logged, cooks, cook photos, ratings, private recipes, and your own meal plans
Any activity, sleep, and weight read from Apple Health or Google Health Connect
Your posts, comments, cheers, follows, friendships, and group messages

Things other people use

Recipes you published publicly stay up, shown as “by a former member” with no name or link, so other people’s saved plans keep working.
If you share a household, the other members keep its shared plans, pantry and lists. If you were the last member, the household is deleted too.
Groups you run pass to the next member; empty groups are deleted.
Upcoming potlucks or parties you host are cancelled and your guests are told.

Backups

We keep encrypted backups for disaster recovery. Your data leaves them as they rotate out within 63 days of deletion. We may retain a minimal record where the law requires it, and aggregated or de-identified data that is not personal to you (for example, a shared recipe’s average macros) may be kept.
